Collective tree walk - Collaboration with Solon Collectif

The collective tree walk is a project led by Cœur d’épinette in collaboration with Solon collectif (Fonds des possibles). The objective of the project, which took shape in January 2022, is to bring together a group of citizens around a tree trail in the Rosemont neighborhood, including various urban ecosystems such as Parc du Pélican with its microforest, an alleyway, and, of course, street trees. The project continued for a year and a half.

Cœur d’épinette accompanied the multigenerational group throughout the seasons so that participants could acquire knowledge about trees: recognize them in their different states, understand their specific functions and edible and inedible aspects, assess the ecosystem around them, but also, and above all, develop their connection with trees and urban nature. The goal is for participants to become knowledge carriers and transmitters for others.

The project was supposed to lead to a collective creation. Unfortunately, for various reasons, this has still not materialized! The project was a wonderful experiment. :-)
